The six-day Creation is a history of the creation of the heavens and the earth, which God accomplished for six days in the beginning. God created the heavens, celestial bodies, the earth, the seas, animals, people, and everything with His word. The seventh day, when God rested after He finished His creation work, was established as the Sabbath, the commemoration day of the Creator.
God’s creation was not completed in six days. From the beginning to Judgment Day, God continuously carries out His spiritual creation work in order to make people the perfect beings who can go to heaven. The history of the Bible begins with the six-day Creation in the book of Genesis, and ends with the coming of the kingdom of heaven. It is a new heaven and earth where there is no death or pain, as recorded in the book of Revelation.[1]
The Six-Day Creation and the Spiritual Creation
The six-day Creation represents the spiritual creation by God. It is a prophecy about the history of redemption, in which human beings, who suffer from sin and death from the time of Adam until Judgment Day, will be reborn as perfect beings with eternal life through Christ. Two thousand years ago, Jesus Christ said, “My Father is always at his work to this very day, and I, too, am working.”[2] This shows that God is still working on the spiritual creation even after the six-day Creation. The history of God’s rest on the seventh day after the six-day Creation is also a prophecy of the Sabbath of a thousand years, the eternal rest in heaven, which will take place after the work of redemption is completed.[3]
History and Prophecy of the Six-Day Creation
First Day: Light and Darkness
On the first day of the six-day Creation, God created the light and separated the light from the darkness. The light was called “day,” and the darkness “night.”
And God said, “Let there be light,” and there was light. God saw that the light was good, and He separated the light from the darkness. God called the light “day,” and the darkness he called “night.” And there was evening, and there was morning—the first day.
Literally, this light can be interpreted as physical light, but prophetically it refers to the light of life, that is, the light of knowing God who is life.[4][5]
The prophetic period of the first day is from the time of Adam to the time of Noah. God shone the light of the knowledge of the glory of God from the time of Adam, the ancestor of humankind. However, people did not understand the light, and the world was filled with sin in the days of Noah. God was grieved that He had made humans on the earth and judged them with water.[6]
Second Day: Expanse by Separating the Water Under the Expanse from the Water Above It
On the second day of the six-day Creation, God made the expanse and separated the water under the expanse from the water above it, and called the expanse “sky.”
And God said, “Let there be an expanse between the waters to separate water from water.” So God made the expanse and separated the water under the expanse from the water above it. And it was so. God called the expanse “sky.” And there was evening, and there was morning—the second day.
The expanse refers to the sky, that is, the atmosphere. The water was separated into the water above the expanse [clouds] and the water under it.
In the Bible, water stands for mankind.[7] The waters above the expanse represent God's people who are to be saved, while the waters under it symbolize all who will not be saved.
The prophetic period of the second day is from the time of Noah to the time of Abraham. After the Flood, the descendants of Noah built the Tower of Babel against God’s will in order to exalt their names and avoid being scattered over the whole earth. God broke their plan and scattered them over the face of the whole earth by confusing their language.[8]
Third Day: Seas, Land, and Plants
On the third day of the six-day Creation, God let the water under the sky be gathered into one place and let dry ground appear. God called the dry ground “land,” and the gathered waters He called “seas.” God let the land produce vegetation: seed-bearing plants and trees that bear fruit with seed in it.
And God said, “Let the water under the sky be gathered to one place, and let dry ground appear.” And it was so. God called the dry ground “land,” and the gathered waters he called “seas.” And God saw that it was good. Then God said, “Let the land produce vegetation: seed-bearing plants and trees on the land that bear fruit with seed in it, according to their various kinds.” And it was so. The land produced vegetation: plants bearing seed according to their kinds and trees bearing fruit with seed in it according to their kinds. And God saw that it was good. And there was evening, and there was morning—the third day.
The waters of the sea, which was created on the third day, represent peoples[7] (Rev 17:15). Trees, too, represent people.[9] Water's being gathered in one place to form the sea prophesied that people would gather in various places to form tribes and nations.
The prophetic period of the third day is from the time of Abraham to the time of Moses. The prophecy of the third day was fulfilled by the formation of many nations during the life of Abraham, the forefather of faith.
Fourth Day: Sun, Moon, and Stars
On the fourth day of the six-day Creation, two great lights—the sun and the moon—were created. God made the sun to govern the day and the moon to govern the night. He also made the stars and set them in the expanse of the sky to give light to the earth. On this day, seasons, and days, and years were marked.
And God said, “Let there be lights in the expanse of the sky to separate the day from the night, and let them serve as signs to mark seasons and days and years, and let them be lights in the expanse of the sky to give light on the earth.” And it was so. God made two great lights—the greater light to govern the day and the lesser light to govern the night. He also made the stars. God set them in the expanse of the sky to give light on the earth, to govern the day and the night, and to separate light from darkness. And God saw that it was good. And there was evening, and there was morning—the fourth day.
The prophetic period of the fourth day is from the time of Moses to the time of Jesus. During this period, the Old Testament [old covenant] and the New Testament [new covenant] were codified. Among the “two great lights” created on the fourth day, the sun stands for the New Testament, and the moon the Old Testament. The moon does not emit its own light, but only reflects the sunlight. Likewise, the Old Testament law reflects the light of the truth of the new covenant, which will be completed in the New Testament times, and it serves to guide the saints to Christ who will appear in the New Testament times.[10] There is a prophecy: “A woman clothed with the sun, with the moon under her feet.”[11] This means that the Old Testament ended and the New Testament began.[12][13] The Old Testament times under the moonlight was the period of waiting for the sunlight of the New Testament, that is, the light of Christ, to shine. On the fourth day, God let lights serve as signs to mark seasons and days, and years.
This prophecy was fulfilled in the time of Moses when the laws, regulations, feasts, and the Sabbath were established.
Fifth Day: Creatures of the Sea and the Birds
On the fifth day of the six-day Creation, the water teemed with the creatures of the sea, and the birds flew across the expanse of the sky.
And God said, “Let the water teem with living creatures, and let birds fly above the earth across the expanse of the sky.” So God created the great creatures of the sea and every living and moving thing with which the water teems, according to their kinds, and every winged bird according to its kind. And God saw that it was good. God blessed them and said, “Be fruitful and increase in number and fill the water in the seas, and let the birds increase on the earth.” And there was evening, and there was morning—the fifth day.
The sea that represents human society, and the temporal owner of the sea is Satan.[14] The bird, too, represents the devil. Satan, the devil, takes the role of destroying the word of God, that is, the gospel.[15]
The prophetic period of the fifth day is the time from the crucifixion of Jesus until the death of Pope Pius VI in A.D. 1798 during the French Revolution.[16][17] During this age, God’s truth disappeared, and the customs and symbols of pagans took their place in the church.
The truths were changed one by one from the second century, as it was prophesied.[18] The Sabbath day was changed to Sunday worship in A.D. 321,[19] and the Passover was abolished in A.D. 325.[20][21] After that, Christmas, the birthday of the sun god, and the worship of the cross infiltrated into the church.[22] During the Dark Ages, the saints fled to the desert,[23] mountains, and caves to keep their faith.[24] In the end, however, the truth was thoroughly cut off, and true faith could not be found in the world any longer.[25]
Sixth Day: Animals and Humans

On the sixth day of the six-day Creation, God made all kinds of animals, and then He made humans. As a result, male and female were created in the image of God.
And God said, “Let the land produce living creatures according to their kinds: livestock, creatures that move along the ground, and wild animals, each according to its kind.” And it was so. God made the wild animals according to their kinds, the livestock according to their kinds, and all the creatures that move along the ground according to their kinds. And God saw that it was good. Then God said, “Let us make man in our image, in our likeness, and let them rule over the fish of the sea and the birds of the air, over the livestock, over all the earth, and over all the creatures that move along the ground.” So God created man in his own image, in the image of God he created him; male and female he created them. . . . And there was evening, and there was morning—the sixth day.
The man and the woman God made at the end of the six-day Creation are Adam and Eve. It is written that Adam is a “pattern of the one to come [Jesus]”[26] and a “life-giving spirit,” meaning the Savior who gives eternal life to mankind.[27] Eve, the wife of Adam, was called the “mother of all the living.”[28] Adam and Eve, who appeared on the last day of the six-day Creation, represent God the Father [Second Coming Jesus] and God the Mother, who are to appear in the last days of the history of redemption. Apostle John wrote that the last Adam and Eve, whom he saw in his revelation, are the “Holy Spirit and the Bride.”
The Spirit and the bride say, “Come!” And let him who hears say, “Come!” Whoever is thirsty, let him come; and whoever wishes, let him take the free gift of the water of life.
The Spirit and the Bride who give the water of life are God the Father and God the Mother who give eternal life to mankind.
Also, Adam and Eve were rulers over all the animals. In the Bible, animals represent all peoples.[29] The creation history of the sixth day is a prophecy that the Spirit and the Bride, the reality of Adam and Eve, will appear in this world in the last days and lead all mankind to salvation.
Seventh Day: Rest
After finishing the six-day Creation, God rested on the seventh day, blessed that day, and made it holy. The seventh-day Sabbath is the day to commemorate the power of God the Creator, and it was established as a law that must be kept.[30][31]
Thus the heavens and the earth were completed in all their vast array. By the seventh day God had finished the work he had been doing; so on the seventh day he rested from all his work. And God blessed the seventh day and made it holy, because on it he rested from all the work of creating that he had done.
