The state of Colorado is located in the Midwest region of the United States. It is the center for major transportation systems such as transcontinental railroads, roads, and air routes. The Colorado River, the lifeline of the western United States, originates from the majestic and beautiful Rocky Mountains and runs from the north to the south of the state.
The Church of God in Denver, CO, is located in Jefferson County, which is northwest of Denver. It was established in 2003 during the early days of the missionary work in North America. As the number of members increased, the church moved to the current temple in February 2019.
With the heart of a Good Samaritan, the members gave a helping hand to other regions and countries in need as well. When a tornado struck Henryville, Indiana,[1] they drove for more than 20 hours to deliver relief supplies and cleaned the ruined houses to comfort the victims.[2]
The members of the Church of God in Denver held benefit concerts to spread awareness to citizens and deliver donations to the victims of the Gorkha earthquake struck Nepal in 2015, and again for the victims of Hurricane Matthew in Haiti in 2016.[3][4] Additionally, they help their neighbors through various volunteer services such as sock drives to help the homeless, environmental cleanups, and blood drives.[5][6]
The church actively participated in the response to COVID-19 and donated facial masks for government officials and children, and ASEZ members in Denver made 1,000 facial masks and delivered them to city hall.[7]
The Church of God in Denver, CO, which has taken care of the community with sincere services, received The President’s Volunteer Service Awards, the Achievement Award from the House of Representatives of the State of Colorado, the Certificate of Appreciation from the Ambassador of Nepal, and the Plaque of Recognition from the Association of Donor Recruitment Professionals, etc.[8][9][10]
