Catalonia, where the church is located, contributes approximately 20% of Spain’s GDP, largely due to its thriving trade and tourism industries, supported by its port.[1] Barcelona, the capital city, is a major global tourist destination, attracting visitors from around the world to its renowned cultural landmarks and attractions, such as Camp Nou, the home stadium of FC Barcelona, the Palau de la Música Catalana, and Barceloneta Beach.

In its early years, the Church of God in Barcelona experienced steady growth, driven by the overseas missions of members from Korea and the United States, as well as support from the Church of God in Western Europe.[2] The congregation, centered on faith in God the Father and God the Mother, remains devoted to sharing the gospel of the new covenant with the local community. Members actively engage in spreading biblical teachings through Spanish-language Truth Books, Sermon Books, video sermons, and monthly publications such as Elohist and Happy Home, which help believers understand the Bible’s truth and foster Christian virtues that promote harmony among families and neighbors.

Following the biblical teaching, “Be the salt and light of the world,” the church members actively participate in various volunteer initiatives. They organize blood drives to raise awareness about the importance of blood donation and work tirelessly to save lives. Additionally, they contribute to the local community by leading environmental cleanup campaigns, helping to keep the city clean and demonstrating Christ’s love through acts of service.
