The Church of God in Chicago, IL, is located near the Springbrook Prairie Forest Preserve where church members can enjoy the natural scenery while studying the Bible.
The church has been carrying out various activities to increase family engagement and harmony among local residents. For example, the members organized a Family Appreciation Day for families who live busy lives to show their love and sincere appreciation for one another.[1] They have also carried out street cleanups in nearby areas and have encouraged citizens to participate in these efforts.[2] When Naperville, Illinois, and Washington were hit by tornadoes, the members carried out recovery efforts with the heart of a mother, showing their support to the victims.[3][4]
The ASEZ, University Student Volunteer Group visited police and fire stations in the city that are working hard to prevent the spread of COVID-19 and delivered sanitary kits to them.[5]
The Church of God in Chicago, IL, which contributed to their community's development through volunteering with God’s love, received the Illinois Senate Recognition, the Certificate of Appreciation from the 26th Ward Alderman of the City of Chicago, and the Plaque of Recognition from Heartland Blood Centers.[6][7][8]
