Features
Dunedin, a port city on the southeastern coast of New Zealand, seamlessly blends a vibrant urban landscape with pristine natural beauty. Known as a hub for southern trade, it is also renowned as an ecotourism destination, home to rare and protected species such as penguins and albatrosses. The city is rich in historical landmarks, including Larnach Castle, New Zealand’s only castle.
The members of the Church of God in Dunedin have grown in faith with dignity, studying the Bible in a city that harmonizes cultural heritage, urban sophistication, and breathtaking natural scenery. Through various platforms such as the Church of God’s monthly magazines Elohist and Happy Home, as well as the official website and YouTube channel, they have cultivated selfless love and gentle character, developing into true workers of Christ.
To share the love of Christ with their neighbors, members actively take the lead in maintaining and preserving Dunedin’s beautiful environment through local cleanups and ecosystem protection initiatives.[1] ASEZ members in Dunedin have gained recognition for their ongoing efforts in cleaning up areas near the University of Otago, including the removal of trash and graffiti.[2][3] In appreciation of their dedication, the CEO of Keep Dunedin Beautiful awarded a certificate of appreciation to the members for their contributions to environmental cleanups at Light River and the Dunedin Central Business District.[4] Additionally, the Chairman of Dunedin City Council presented a certificate of appreciation to ASEZ WAO for their efforts in beautifying the city.[5]
By carrying out various volunteer activities essential to the community, the members continue to bring hope and positive change to Dunedin.
